Nach einer sehr aufwendigen und kritischen Bewertung aller Einreichungen wurden die Sieger aus 45 Nominierten dem Publikum präsentiert. Das nationale und internationale Publikum wurde von Veranstalter und Chef der Agentur für Gesundheit & Wellness Norbert Hintermayer begrüßt. Durch den Abend führte Moderatorin Olivia Peter. Für musikalische Untermalung sorgte die Jazz-Band “Gino Brass“.
Die Veranstaltung wurde von der Agentur für Gesundheit & Wellness durchgeführt mit Unterstützung von Dr. Spiller Biocosmetic und TAC Informationstechnologie.
Die Awards sind das Ergebnis einer unabhängigen Jury und stellen die härteste unabhängige Auswertung in Europa dar. Grundlage für die Bewertung ist ein umfangreicher Fragebogen sowie ein Mystery Check. Die Auswertung erfolgt anhand von 8 Kriterienpunkten (Design-Technik, Gesundheit, Angebot & Service, Wirtschaftlichkeit, Nutzen, Kreativität, Nachhaltigkeit und Social Corporate Responsibility (SCR)). Vergeben wurden die European HEALTH & SPA AWARDs in 10 unterschiedlichen Kategorien. Ausgezeichnet wurden europäische Wellnessbetriebe, Produktinnovationen, Treatments und Spa Manager.

Die Physiotherm Infrarot Lounge (A) war für die Kategorie Best Product Innovation Technique nominiert. Die Anwärter in der Kategorie Best Product Innovations Cosmetics waren Best Wellness Hotels Austria (A) mit Balance Alpine 1000+ und Maria Galland (D) mit ihrem Produkt 442 Spray Pétillant Corps.
